Description
Over six hundred acres of woodland, meadows, lakes and groomed trails leads one away from the hectic life into peace and tranquility. A private lake invites for a refreshing swim or to enjoy a pedalo ride. The fifteen room Auberge, complete with all modern conveniences and comfort, located less than 90 minutes from Montreal or Ottawa, or some 50 minutes from Mt.Tremblant.
Each bedroom has a full bathroom, while some have private balconies and whirlpools.
Val Caroll's property extends to the Rouge River, famous for White Water Rafting. Superb golfing is available at Carling Lake, (15mins.), Arundel (20mins.) or Mt.Tremblant (50mins.)
Our unique decorated facilities, including a private chapel have hosted many celebrations, weddings, receptions, re-unions and conferences. Our pavilion accommodates up to 125 guests.
Food, which is the foundation of any good reputation, is expertly presented by our resident Swiss Chef and World Gold Medalist, Josef Oeler. Locations
Located less than 90 minutes from Montreal or Ottawa, or some 50 minutes from Mt.Tremblant.
Montreal
Take HWY 40 West to 17 signpost Hawkesbury. Take 17 to Tupper St, Best Western Hotel on right corner. Turn right and go down to T-junction. Turn left towards Hawkesbury. Continue to traffic lights and turn right (Bridge to Quebec), continue over bridge to 2nd traffic lights, junction HWY 148. Turn left in the direction of Calumet / Hull. Continue on 148 West for about 3 KM.
The Hwy continues past Ultramar Station. About 1 KM past station, look for signpost KILMAR/RAFTING. Turn right and continue up the mountain road. Drive about 14 KM to Kilmar (Old mines either side of road.) Look for Quebec Tourist signs AUBERGE VAL CARROLL. Turn left, down the hill into the Harrington Valley. At intersection at bottom of valley (Rue Riviere Rouge) (small white chapel on right) turn right and follow to Auberge Val Carroll for about 5 KM.
Ottawa
Take HWY 17 EAST to signpost Hawkesbury. Turn left towards Hawkesbury. Continue through village to sign BRIDGE TO QUEBEC. Turn left. Continue over bridge to 2nd traffic lights, junction HWY 148.
