Description
The Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Certified Forest Owners Inc (CFO) is a not-for-profit forest service corporation. The CFO’s mission is to maximize ecological, economic and aesthetic benefits from our area forests and woodlots. We promote sustainable, environmentally responsible forest practices through internationally recognized forest certification using the guidelines of the Forest Stewardship Council. We provide landowners, loggers and consumers with forest education and we also assist woodlot owners with the sales and marketing of their products.
On August 21, 2010 the second annual Wood Fair will be held at the Glengarry Pioneer Museum in Dunvegan, Ontario. This Wood Fair is a joint venture between the museum and the CFO. This year’s events include workshops, artisans, children’s activities and a wood auction. For details about the Wood Fair and wood auction please visit www.woodfair.ca
